The Transition

MIRACULOUSLY SAVED: My Testimony of Divine Protection

There are moments in life that leave you with no explanation—only awe. This is one of mine.

Some years ago, I was in Lagos, Nigeria, riding in a Keke Napep (a 3-wheeled taxi). I sat at the back with two other passengers, and a man had squeezed into the front seat beside the driver—a space meant for one person only. It was a regular day, nothing unusual. But what happened next would mark me for life.

This happened just a few days before I was scheduled to travel to the United States of America. I was finalizing my preparations, making last-minute errands, and simply trying to get through the day.

As we moved forward, I glanced up and saw a car on the opposite lane, about 500 feet away. There was no divider between us. I looked down to send a quick text message—and then, in the blink of an eye, everything changed.

A deafening crash shattered the air. In that very instant, everything went silent. It felt as though time had paused, as if I had stepped out of this world. When I became aware again, I was standing—completely conscious—about 15 feet away from the wreckage.

The Keke Napep I had just been in was a mangled ruin, flipped upside down. The other passengers and the driver were badly injured, bleeding, and crying out. My phone had exploded into pieces. My backpack, which had been sitting on my lap, was now lying 8 feet away. And yet… I had not a single scratch.

I had been sitting on the side closest to the oncoming vehicle. By every natural law, I should have been severely injured—maybe even dead. But somehow, I had been lifted out and set aside… untouched.

Crowds gathered, stunned. People pointed at me in disbelief, asking, “Were you not inside that Keke Napep?” All I could say was, “Yes, I was.”

But how do you explain a moment like that? I can’t. Even now, I can’t. Except to say this: God stepped in. I believe an angel of the Lord reached into that moment of chaos, pulled me out, and placed me in safety. Not because I deserved it, but because of His mercy and power.

Looking back, I realize that the enemy may have tried to stop my journey before it even began. But God had a purpose for me that could not be cut short.

Psalm 34:7 says:
“The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.”

I am living proof of that Word. I don’t just believe in the supernatural—I’ve experienced it. God is real. His power is real. His angels are real. And He still performs miracles today.

Let my story remind you: when God says He will protect you, He means it.
